Biography of Miguel Angel Buonarroti

Michelangelo was born in Caprese, an Italian town located in the province of Arezzo in the year 1475. Son of a noble family known as the Buonarroti , a family recognized for having held different public positions. He began his life as a painter only at 12 years of age and a year later, he began with sculpture with the help of Bertoldo di Giovanni , who would be in charge of introducing him into the circle of the Médci. He had great difficulties at the beginning of his career because his father opposed his wishes, because for him, painting had no recognition, however, this being what he wanted, he managed to convince him and follow his desire for art. His first artistic works aroused the curiosity and admiration of Lorenzo the Magnificent , who welcomed him into his palace. Thanks to these relationships, Miguel Ángel Buonarroti was able to come into direct contact with the different idealistic theories of Plato , who ended up being one of his main pillars in his life.
