Charles Babbage was born in Teignmounth, Great Britain, on December 26, 1791, he was a brilliant mathematician and scientist in the area of computer science , known for inventing programmable calculating machines.
In 1814 Charles Babbage obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Cambridge University and the following year he created the Analytic Society with J. Herschel with the aim of improving the teaching of mathematics in the United Kingdom. In 1816, he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society and in 1829 he taught at Cambridge University.
Specialist in the theories of functions and algebraic analysis, Charles Babbage focused on the creation of a machine that could perform mathematical tables . Thus, in 1833 he created the “differential machine” which allowed logarithms to be calculated and printed.
At the end of the “differential engine” he directed his efforts to design an analytical engine that would process arithmetic instructions. This time she had the monetary help of the English government and Ada Lovelance, who would be the first programmer in history .
